"The Bachelorette" finale only aired on Monday, but is Rachel Lindsay already having a baby with Bryan Abasolo? That's what one of the tabloids wants readers to believe.

"'Bachelorette' Bombshell! A Baby For Rachel," exclaims a headline in the new issue of Life & Style, which writes, "Now that the world knows she's engaged, Rachel Lindsay is fast-tracking her plans to become a mom." According to the tabloid, "things are going to so well" for the reality star and Abasolo that "they're ready to take a major step in their relationship." It's specifically alleged, "Rachel and her groom-to-be both want to have a baby sooner rather than later, and have already begun discussing names and how they want to raise their little ones."

A so-called "insider" claims to the gossip magazine, "Rachel can't wait to start a family with Bryan, and he's more than ready to be a father. His wanting to have kids was definitely something she considered in choosing him over Peter [Kraus, the runner-up]. They both are so excited." But after first claiming Lindsay was "fast-tracking" parenthood, the outlet actually goes on to assert they want to "wait until they get married to have a baby."

Still, the supposed source maintains Abasolo "wants to get the ball rolling" and Lindsay has "baby fever." It's even alleged the lawyer already knows she wants two boys and two girls, and is considering names like Kennedy, Ashton, Brooklyn and Sam. Insists the publication, "They both hope to fast-track everything so they can be parents as soon as possible."

But this timeline is all wrong. While Lindsay and Abasolo have both been open about wnting three or four children, they have absolutely no plans to "fast-track" a wedding and kids. As Gossip Cop reported, Lindsay and Abasolo said on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" on Tuesday that they are eyeing next winter, as in late 2018/early 2019, for their nuptials, which is also what they've said in other interviews. And since they aren't planning to have a baby before tying the knot, that means a pregnancy is more than a year away.

In other words, Life & Style is getting really ahead of itself here by announcing a baby "bombshell." Gossip Cop suspects the tabloid just wanted it to seem like it had an exclusive scoop right after the big finale earlier this week. But most of these claims are very premature.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
