Nick Jonas' brothers, Joe and Kevin, don't feel "betrayed" by his decision to join The Voice, despite a ridiculous report. Gossip Cop can debunk the nonexistent drama. There's no truth to the story.
Last month, the news was announced that Nick would be joining Season 18 of The Voice as a new coach. According to Naughty Gossip, the singer's brothers and bandmates aren't happy because they weren't asked to join the reality sinning competition along with him.
"All the competition between the three guys melted away as they got back together for their most successful tour ever," says a supposed source, referring to the brothers currently being on the road for their Happiness Begins tour. The alleged insider adds that the trio were "enjoying sharing the spotlight together as a band again," but Nick has killed the vibe by agreeing to take his career solo once more. "An old wound has been opened up," adds the seemingly phony tipster, who says Joe and Kevin "can't help but to feel awful again" now that their brother has a new gig.
There's been no rift between the Jonas Brothers, despite the website's fabricated report. In fact, both of Nick's brothers congratulated him on joining The Voice when the news was announced last month. Joe retweeted a video of his brother announcing the news, and added, "Congrats brother! Can't wait to see you kill it on Season 18..."
Meanwhile, Kevin took to Twitter and shared a video of Nick spilling the news on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He added, "Congrats @nickjonas on joining @nbcthevoice!! Proud of you!" It's worth noting, Joe and Kevin appeared alongside their brother on the daytime talk show when he made the announcement, and both seemed very happy for him. Regardless, if there were any kind of resentment or animosity stemming from Nick joining The Voice, his brothers wouldn't be publicly congratulating him.
Additionally, the Jonas Brothers are on tour together until February of next year. All three have been sharing Instagram photos and videos from their various gigs. It would be quite awkward to be on the road together if there was a major "betrayal" happening, but that's clearly not the case.
Unfortunately, Gossip Cop predicts that when Nick does join The Voice next year, there will be plenty of bogus articles about him not getting along with the other coaches. Just last month, Gossip Cop published a breakdown of false stories about the coaches of The Voice feuding, as it's a recurring theme for the tabloids. We're taking bets now on who Nick will (allegedly) be at war against.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
