Brad Pitt was supposedly planning to announce his love for Jennifer Aniston in a TV Interview, according to a tabloid report one year ago today. The interview never happened, of course. Gossip Cop debunked the premise 12 months ago, and time has proven our reporting to be accurate.

On November 14, 2018, OK! announced that Pitt was ready to declare his love for Aniston on national TV, possibly on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The tabloid quoted what it claimed was an "insider," who said, "Brad has stayed at Jen's house in Bel Air — he comes and goes through a secret entrance on her property — and even when he's on set [of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood], he calls constantly, sometimes just to say he loves her."

The anonymous source went on to claim Pitt was "thinking about sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres, who happens to be a friend of Jen's, so she would make them both look good." The suspicious tipster claimed Pitt wanted to go on TV "to tell it like it is, how Jen is the only woman he's ever loved and why he'll never leave her again." The interview never happened, because the ex-spouses aren't back together and never rekindled a romance. The tabloids constantly push this silly idea over and over and over. Gossip Cop has debunked this story so many times it's mind-boggling.

This year alone, Gossip Cop has busted OK! at least 10 times for coming up with some version of this narrative involving Pitt and Aniston getting back together. We've called out the magazine's sister publications for publishing similar articles nearly 70 times in 2019 alone. That means over the course of 10 and a half months, there have been nearly 80 tabloid stories claiming everything from Aniston and Pitt secretly dating, to vacationing together, to hanging out with Pitt's kids, to having a baby together. There's not a kernel of truth in any of them.

Most recently, and completely unsurprisingly, OK! published a report claiming Aniston was going on TV for a "bombshell tell-all interview." Sound familiar? In the supposed interview, according to a questionable source, Aniston planned to admit that "she's always loved Brad and called him her 'soulmate.'" It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad that the tabloid keeps running with this false narrative. Gossip Cop will remain on the case, as there will surely be more stories like this. Probably next week.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
